CONTROL VALVE TECHNICIAN - FALKIRK

TEAM Valve & Rotating Services are Recruiting!

We are on the lookout for a committed and experienced Control Valve Technician to come and join our team in Falkirk on a full-time basis.

The purpose of this role is to carry out a range of tasks within the TVRS workshop as instructed by the Department Head to fulfil business requirements and to ensure work is carried out to an acceptable standard of quality following company procedures.

• Do you have a recognised Engineering Qualification?
• Are you able to repair and overhaul a variety of different valves using a range of techniques?
• Are you based/willing to relocate to Falkirk, Scotland?

Key Information
• Job Title: Valve Technician
• Salary: We are keen to offer a competitive compensation package to the successful candidate based on experience and current market, therefore, we actively encourage candidates to disclose their salary expectations at screening stage.
• Basic hours: 38 hours per week – OT available at enhanced rates depending on business needs
• Location: Abbots Rd, Falkirk FK2 7XU
• Workshop based role – occasional site work and operation of company vehicles by agreement

Role Snapshot
The day-to-day activities of your role with TEAM will include but are not limited to:


• Maintain and repair a wide range of control valves and actuators including; positioners, boosters, solenoids, switches and regulators
• Maintain and repair a wide range of isolation valves including; gate valves, parallel slide valves, ball valves when required
• Use diagnostics and pressure testing
• Set up and calibrate associated instruments
• Enter the valve overhaul and test details into the Valve Management System

About you
The necessary skills, knowledge and characteristics required to be successful in this role include:

• Have a recognised Engineering apprenticeship/qualification
• Experience in the repair, overhaul and testing of control valves
• Ability to use the range of workshop equipment
• Ability to problem solve
• Full UK driving licence
