VALVE INSTRUMENTATION & ACTUATION ENGINEER

Position Overview:
As an Instrumentation and Actuation Engineer at Oxford Flow, you will be instrumental in providing technical knowledge and assistance for valve applications. This dynamic role requires you to offer support to the engineering team and across the company, while also taking responsibility for specific tasks.
Core Responsibilities: - Provide high-level technical bid assistance using your expertise in instrumentation. Serve as the company’s go-to expert in instrumentation and actuation, addressing common site challenges and understanding competitors’ products.  Create and maintain schematics and their corresponding databases. Lead the development and integration of new in-house actuators aligned with Oxford Flow’s product roadmap. Compile and maintain tools for instrumentation and bracketry to support Bill of Materials (BOM) creation. Continuously improve the design of instrumentation kits and office tool kits by applying lessons learned. Ensure valve assemblies meet customer specifications and perform to standard. Offer production support when necessary, including setup and troubleshooting. Work in partnership with external companies on development projects.
Required Qualifications and Skills: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the control valve industry or a similar field, with a proven track record of technical growth. Strong expertise in control valves, actuation, and instrumentation.  Solid understanding of pneumatic systems and performance requirements for control valves. Proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD. Ability to identify and solve problems efficiently. - Strong attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.  Organized and methodical approach to tasks and issues. - Effective analytical skills with a focus on timeliness.
