Initially marine engineers based in Silver Town, East London, the company diversified into petro chemical, power generation, waste and water industries. In recent years IME has become increasingly involved in providing engineering solutions to the energy from waste industry.

Starting in the mid 1970s with maintenance and repair work at a large incinerator power station in London, this now extends to a number of facilities turning municipal waste/sewage into electricity, exported to the grid. The company has now relocated to a 6000sq ft workshop in Chadwell Heath, Essex, perfectly located to support a client base including major utility companies throughout the South East. IME seeks to support the growing demand of the Energy from Waste Industry, providing innovative maintenance engineering solutions.
