Gemu were established in Germany in 1964 when the founder Fritz Mueller had an idea to make his own valves starting with a design of plastic solenoid valve and then moving on to design other valves and controls, Gemu have grown to be one of the worlds largest family owned valve manufacturers. Today more than 1400 employees and over 20 subsidiaries around the world sell and support the company valves and controls products.
Gemu have a passion for designing and developing new innovative products. Sometimes taking existing designs and making huge steps forward in their design, function or materials or completely “reinventing the wheel” by stepping outside the box and bringing phenomenal new products into the market.
Gemu products include Plastic Diaphragm, Butterfly, Ball, Control, solenoid and globe valves as well as Metal valves such as Diaphragm, Solenoid, Globe, Angle seat Globe, Butterfly, Ball and Control valves. Other process products include Turbine and Variable area flowmeters in plastic and a complete range of modular instrumentation products for valve feedback and valve positioners.
Industries where Gemu have huge customer bases include BioPharmaceuticals, Semiconductors, Food & Drink and Cosmetics, Water Treatment, Metal finishing, Chemicals, Utilities and Green engineering applications like Anaerobic Digestion, Energy from Waste and Biofuels.
Gemu products are manufactured in Gemu factories in Germany, Switzerland, France, Brazil and China. Gemu Valves Ltd was established in England in 1981 and has grown over the last 35 years to now own their own new premises at Warrington by the M6 motorway with a team of 15 support staff.
