Comid Engineering was established some 35 years ago to provide a valve reconditioning service for industry. Valves are used in boiler plants, petrochemical plants and oil refineries to manage liquid and gas flow. Comid provides a guaranteed re-conditioning for all types of valves in every sector of industry, using skills and experience acquired over many years. Comid have made valves their speciality, developing professional procedures for their inspection and repair to meet the high standards required by their customers, and by independent authorities. The company also provide new valves but 90% of said valves are refurbished with 10% new.
Their workshop houses machinery for turning, boring, milling, drilling, welding etc.and hosts an extensive range of hand tools and lifting equipment together with special purpose Valve lapping and Testing equipment. Lapping machines are carried for in-line Valve re-seating. These machines are fully portable, driven by pneumatic motors and are designed for in-situ repairs to Gate, P/Slide and Safety Valves, of paramount importance when Valves are welded in line or impractical to remove for service.

Comid offer a mobile workshop. Safety Valve testing, overhaul and certification can be carried out within the confides of the mobile facility reducing downtime and in some cases eliminate the need to send Valves off site to the service centre. Comid provide skilled competent labour to carry out all disciplines outlined above. All site engineers carry C.C.N.S.G passport and are trained in health and safety aspects. Quality Management System is ISO 9001:2015. Comid are registered with FPAL and UVDB.
